Canal will be offering Comp/Collision deductibles for Wisconsin beginning August 3, 2009 for new business and October 5, 2009 for renewal business.

Effective immediately, Canal is offering cargo coverage through two policies: Motor Truck Cargo Coverage - Standard and Motor Truck Cargo Coverage - Preferred. The Standard and Preferred policies are identical except that the Preferred policy is enhanced by:

> Removing the commodities theft limitation
> Removing the coinsurance clause; and
> Providing coverage even if the trailer is not attached to the power unit
> Accepted by CH Robinson

Canal has included additional coverage in the new forms that were previously provided by endorsements:

> Water Damage/Wetness - no longer excluded
> Collision of Load, as well as Loading and Unloading
> Multi-sectional Mobile Home Coverage
> Poultry Cages - plus added coverage for other forms of Reusable Packing Containers.

Canal has created buy-out endorsements for the Standard form to ''carve out'':

> Coinsurance
> Or to add a Broadened Cargo endorsement to make the Standard form as broad as the Preferred form.

Canal has reduced the number of commodities subject to the 10% Commodity Theft Limitation in the Standard form and eliminated it completely in the Preferred form.

Canal will be implementing new physical damage rates in Illinois effective August 22, 2009 for new business and October 22, 2009 for renewal business.
